Our Story

In 2007, our move from Europe to Santa Barbara introduced us to California's unique wine culture, a stark contrast to varieties we knew well. Initially, navigating this new terrain led to a few missteps, but soon, we discovered local wines that resonated with our taste. Particularly, the refined wines and minimal intervention approach of Ernst Storm mirrored our philosophy, making our collaboration with him a privilege.

By 2010, we purchased vacant land on Kentucky Road, initially uncertain how to utilize it. After several months of planning, we initially tried planting oat hay on 7 acres, but soon realized our passion lay elsewhere. This led us to explore viticulture, inspired to craft wines that we'd be proud to share and enjoy ourselves.

Our vineyard was established in 2012, and by 2014, we celebrated our first harvest of Sauvignon Blanc.

CULTIVATING FOR TOMOROW:

Guided by Philippe Coderey, a top Biodynamic® consultant, we embraced biodynamic viticulture to select the ideal soil conditions for our grapes.

Our journey toward sustainability deepened as we fully adopted organic farming methods, removing all synthetic inputs to focus on enhancing soil health and grape quality through natural processes—this pivotal shift aligned perfectly with our environmental principles, elevating the purity and distinctiveness of our wines.

Today, our fully organic vineyard stands as a beacon of sustainable agriculture's positive impact on the wine industry, ensuring a legacy for the generations to come.
